Our R1 Training Program is designed to develop the complete player by providing options for players in all area, employing the newest models in the industry for skill development, psychological and physiological training. The program features our low 5:1 player to coach ratio, which enhances individual development and skill acquisition. We will provide players with both technical and tactical aspects, with focused training sessions throughout the month of July and August in preparation for training camp.
The Rink Training Centre's ADVANCED (ADV2) Skills Camp was developed to provide players with detailed instruction in the foundational skills that they need to play the game. With this in mind the ADV2 program will provide players the opportunity to develop both skating skills and puck skills through a focused progression on fundamental Power Skating, Shooting and Stick Handling techniques.
The Rink Training Centre has partnered with Portage Regional Recreation Association and Portage Golf Club to provide players the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of hockey, strength training and golf. The Portage Hockey & Golf camp was developed to provide athletes professional training on the ice, in the gym, and on the course.
