HERE WE GO…
“YOU ONLY EVER GROW AS A HUMAN BEING IF YOU’RE OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE.”
- PERCY CERUTTY
This week THE RINK ice has been Full with familiar and new faces from Travis Brown (Moose Jaw Warriors & draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks), Kevin Clark (St. Johns Ice Caps), Justin Hamonic (Tri City Americans), Adam Hughesman (Tri City Americans), Danielle Leslie (U18 Team Manitoba 2011 CANADA WINTER GAMES) & Tony Borgford (VIDEO COACH – WINNIPEG JETS)…
Travis Brown has been hitting the ice at THE RINK twice a week, with one day giving him the opportunity to work on his own, and another focused on skill development with THE RINK PROFESSIONALS…
Kevin Clark continues to work at THE RINK a few times a week, focusing on shooting, and pushing his game to new heights in his skill development…
Justin Hamonic and Adam Hughesman joined forces last week on the ice for a session, as they both were preparing to head off to NHL Summer Camps..
Danielle Leslie is getting her game to the next level this week, hitting the ice with friend Cydnee Cook (SMA) and Stepfanie Leslie (Danielle’s Sister)…All three girls have been on ice pushing themselves out of their “comfort zones” by challenging each other to take their games to new heights…Danielle is joining the Syracuse University Women’s Hockey Program for the 2012-2013 season after graduating from Balmoral Hall where she was a member of the Varsity Prep Blazers…
Tony Borgford made an appearance on THE RINK ice this week as he joined his son Braxton (who is 3 years old & the youngest member of our Learn to Skate Program) for a Parent & Child skate for the last LTS Spring Session…Tony is the Video Coach for our Winnipeg Jets, and was previously a member of the Atlanta Thrashers Coaching staff…
There is a common theme this week as we look back on the list of players hitting THE RINK ice in the last couple of weeks…and that theme is Player’s pushing themselves out of their comfort zones…In order to achieve greatness and improve your game, players have to do more than normal, they must push themselves to do things that they are Not used to doing …this is how we make strides…From 3 Year old Braxton Borgford to Travis Brown, THE RINK helps players to achieve things they never thought imaginable, but it is their commitment to pushing themselves to do the extraordinary, by pushing themselves out of their “comfort zones”…
WELL THAT’S A WRAP ON EPISODE 38 OF “THE WORD”
