This Week THE WORD welcomes back a member of our Team for August, plus one player heads over to Europe to start his 3rd year of professional hockey, and another week is highlighted with our Player’s of The Week…
BRENDAN O’DONNELL - UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA
Brendan returned to THE RINK ice this week as a member of our Junior/Pro Group…He just finished off his first season as a member of the Univeristy of North Dakota Fighting Sioux…Brendan battled injuries most of this season, but when he was in uniform he excelled…He finished with 6 Points through 17 Games…O’Donnell is a draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lighting, and recently attended their Summer Development Camp…The RINK TEAM of Professionals is proud to welcome Brendan back into the fold!!
TYLER METCALFE – ALBA VOLAN (Austrian League – EBEL)
Tyler recently signed with in the Austrian Professional Hockey League, known as the EBEL with ALBA VOLAN…Metcalfe finished last season off playing in Kazhakstan where he scored the 1st goal by a Canadian in Kazakhstan Hockey League History…Tyler hits the RINK ice for 3 v 3 and training at Elite Performance (If you train at Elite, you may have seen his new larger than life picture that made its debut last week on the Wall at Elite)…Tyler heads over to Austria on Wednesday, August 1st to begin training with his team…The RINK would like to congratulate Tyler on signing his new contract this year, and continued success throughout the 2012-13 Season.
MARIO CONSTANTINI & JAYDEN SCHULTZ – THE RINK PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
THE RINK is proud to recognize the accomplishments of both Mario & Jayden who were both presented with PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS this past week…These awards are presented to one member of the Morning and Afternoon Classes who lead by example, brought determination and focus to each practice, instilled confidence in others and supported them to succeed. Congrats to both players!! WHO WILL BE NEXT??
