RYAN CYR – General Manager

Ryan has been with The RINK since it opened, originally working with GDI and now managing the entire RINK Faciltiy.  Ryan has worked with GDI for more than eleven years, working with goalies from grass roots to current NHL standouts. Ryan is the current goaltending coach for the WHL’s Spokane Chiefs, and former goaltending coach for the Regina Pats.

DAVE CAMERON – Head Coach/Program Director

Dave enjoyed a 5 year career in the WHL, where he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Dave returned to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba and to play for the Bisons, where he was Captain for 2 years and completed a degree in Kinesiology. Dave has spent the past 15 years with the Edge of Excellence Hockey School and more recently the past 5 years with the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in Kelowna, BC. Dave has worked with players of all ages including many Junior and NHL teams. Dave is a great asset to The RINK’s professional skill development team.

JON CARA – Hockey Development Coordinator

Jon has an extensive playing resume, with 2 years in the WHL with Lethbridge and Saskatoon, plus years in Portage (MJHL) and Penticton (BCHL).  Jon returned to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Human Resources, while playing 4 years for the Bisons.  Jon has worked in the hockey industry for 12 years, with the Edge of Excellence and Okanagan Hockey School in Penticton, BC, and brings a wealth of experience in Power Skating and Skill Development.

STEVE BURNS – Facility Director

  Steve grew up playing hockey in Manitoba before leaving to Calgary for education.  Steve completed his Bachelor of Applied Business and Entrepreneurship from Mount Royal University before returning to join The RINK Team.  Steve oversees all day-to-day operations at The RINK facility as well as Marketing and Program Registration.
