The RINK Goalie IQ Program takes place remotely via Zoom with a RINK Coach and goaltender. This presentation and online discussion allow for interaction between goalies and coaches through watching and analyzing video. Coaches can further breakdown skills and scenarios while goalies can ask questions and get further explanation.
- Initial discussion established with the goalie and parent to discuss target areas for the session
- Review of set technical or tactical areas with the goaltender fully engaged in a learning environment
- Preparing the goaltender for competition – Viewing game situations and preparing for competition to transfer reads that are discussed to the goaltender’s mindset once back on the ice
