Zach McPhee

RINK Kelowna - Player Development Coordinator

Zach started his junior hockey career playing in the BCHL with the Vernon Vipers for one season, then continuing on to play his last 4 year of junior hockey in the WHL, splitting his time with the Everett Silvertips and the Kootenay Ice. After junior hockey, Zach continued his playing career in the CIS (Canadian University League), attending the University of Regina, where he studied a degree in Sociology, then furthered his education completing a Diploma Specializing in Clinical Counselling and Psychotherapy from the Kelowna College of Professional Counselling. Zach was fortunate to serve as an assistant captain throughout his final 2 years of junior with the Kootenay Ice, and last 3 years playing at University in Regina. Post university, Zach began his career in coaching and then making the shift into full time player development at RINK Kelowna. Zach’s knowledge and background are extensive in all areas of power-skating and skills, after being a lead power-skating and skills instructor for 11 years at Edge of Excellence. During his hockey career Zach was fortunate to play in the RBC Cup final with the Vernon Vipers in 2010/2011.
