Sean Pettinger

RINK Winnipeg - Player Development Head Coach

Sean began his hockey career with the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) in 2002. He played with the club for four years before accepting a hockey scholarship to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. In River Falls, Sean played for four years before graduating with honours with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then moved back to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba where he pursued an Education degree while playing for Manitoba’s Allan Cup team; The Southeast Prairie Thunder.

Upon moving back to Winnipeg, Sean has been extensively involved in developing players as a member if The Rink Team. Sean’s experience in coaching doesn’t stop there, as he has also spent time coaching spring hockey with various teams as well as having experience as an instructor at the Impact Hockey School in Brandon, Manitoba. Currently, Sean is a teacher at Starbuck School and is involved in their hockey academy as well.
