DAVE CAMERON
The RINK’s Program Director and Head On-Ice Instructor, Dave enjoyed a 5 year career in the WHL, where he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins. Dave returned to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba and to play for the Bisons, where he was Captain for 2 years and completed a degree in Kinesiology. Dave has spent the past 15 years with the Edge of Excellence Hockey School and more recently the past 5 years with the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in Kelowna, BC. In that time, Dave specialized in power skating and skill development. Dave has worked with players of all ages including many Junior and NHL teams. Dave will be a great asset to The RINK’s professional skill development team.
JON CARA
The RINK’s Hockey Development Coordinator and Rink Professional, Jon has an extensive playing resume, with 2 years in the WHL with Lethbridge and Saskatoon, plus years in Portage (MJHL) and Penticton (BCHL). Jon returned to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing and Human Resources, while playing 4 years for the Bisons. Jon has worked in the hockey industry for 12 years, with the Edge of Excellence and Okanagan Hockey School in Penticton, BC, and brings a wealth of experience in Power Skating and Skill Development. Jon’s experiences and knowledge is a great addition to The RINK Team of Professionals, both on and off the ice.
SEAN PETTINGER
Sean began his hockey career with the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) in 2002. He played there for four years before accepting a hockey scholarship to the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. In River Falls, Sean played for four years before graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then moved back to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba where he is currently pursuing an Education degree. Sean has been involved in coaching spring hockey with numerous teams as well as being an instructor for five years at the Impact Hockey School in Brandon, Manitoba. Sean brings his past experience and hockey knowledge to help players succeed. The RINK Training Centre is proud to have Sean as part of its team of RINK Professionals.
JARRETT OSTER
Jarrett played for the Yorkton Terriers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey league (SJHL) from 1998 – 2001. In his Rookie Season Jarrett was awarded Rookie of The Year honors with the Yorkton Terriers. Throughout his hockey career Jarrett was lucky enough to play in many championships, including The Royal Bank Cup. In his final season Jarrett was named the Captain of the Yorkton Terriers. It was an injury during this season that ended Jarrett’s career, and brought him back to Winnipeg. Jarrett has a wealth of coaching experience in skill development and power skating, from his experiences at such hockey schools as the Edge of Excellence. Jarrett’s experience and passion is a great asset to The RINK Team of Professionals.
