U11 Advanced - 3 on 3
3 on 3 hockey is a fast-paced, high-scoring, high-skilled variant of the traditional game of hockey. Played on our customed-sized training sheet (120ft x 60ft), it is played with three skaters and goalie per team on the ice, and forces players to think and react faster than normal game like scenarios. The smaller ice sheet and fewer players result in a wide-open, high-scoring game with lots of end-to-end action. The smaller size of the rink also puts a premium on speed, agility, and quick reflexes, as players must be able to make quick turns and transitions in order to keep up with the fast pace of the game. The game is typically divided into short shifts, with teams making frequent line changes in order to keep players fresh and maintain the intensity of the action.
RINK 3 on 3 will enable you to:
- Develop faster reaction time
- Work to improve your skills
- Learn to play in confined spaces
- Play around the net both offensively and defensively
- Develop more confidence with the puck
- Get a cardiovascular work-out
Players will be signed up as individuals and 2 teams will be made each week. Teams will be rotated weekly, with pinnies to differentiate teams so players play with all players in the 3 vs 3 program.
Players will receive a RINK Jersey which they keep after the program. We will require players to bring this jersey each week to help split up teams.
