The Skating & Skills Camp encompasses the best of what the RINK has to offer in a single condensed week-long camp. Regardless of level, Skating & Skills incorporates aspects of Power Skating, Shooting & Scoring, and Puck Control progressions, giving players a taste of everything we specialize in.
Daily Structure
- 2x 60min. On-Ice Sessions
- 2x 60min. Dryland Session provided by RINK Testify Performance
- 1x 60min. Off-Ice Skills Session in Skill Zone
- 1x 60min. Interactive Boardroom Session

U9 On-Ice Mastery Keys
The U9 Skating & Skills Camp is designed to develop great habits through the proper techniques. On-ice, skaters will focus on balance and body position for a variety of techniques. While mastering puck control, skaters will learn to give and receive passes both stationary and in-motion. This camp focuses on a well-rounded approach to the skater’s skill development.

U11 On-Ice Mastery Keys
The U11 Skating & Skills Camp is designed to develop great habits through the proper techniques. On-ice, skaters will focus on stride location for individual skating skills. Skaters will master transitions from forwards to backwards effective and efficiently. While mastering puck control, skaters will learn to stickhandle around their bodies and evolve into shooting techniques concentrating on creating flex from their stick using a push and pull motion. This camp focuses on a well-rounded approach to the skater’s skill development.
Power Skating | Stride location focus for skating techniques
Power Skating | Transitions backwards to forwards (introduction to toes first, heels first)
Shooting & Scoring | Shooting technique with weight transfer (push-pull)
Puck Control | Stickhandling around the body
U13/U15 On-Ice Mastery Keys
The U13/U15 Skating & Skills Camp is designed to build on proper technique with instructive and interactive coaching. Skaters will learn about first-step quickness and recovery stride focus for skating techniques. Shooting fundamentals will be covered as well as puck skills. Stickhandling around the body in motion concentrating on puck protection. Incorporating skating and puck control, players will be challenged to transition forward to backward and backward to forward with and without the puck. This camp tests the skater’s ability constructively and positively by our professional on-ice player development coaches.
