The RINK Hockey Corp. is thrilled to share the three charitable recipients of the inaugural Beyond the Boards Classic: KidSport Manitoba, the Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Sport, and Hockey Manitoba! Each organization received $5,000 from the golf tournament, for a total of $15,000 raised.
Hosted by RINK, the Beyond the Boards Classic was created with one goal in mind: helping athletes succeed both on and off the ice. Proceeds from the tournament support athlete development, education, mental health initiatives, youth sports, and cancer research within the Manitoba community. The event brings together athletes, community leaders, business partners, and supporters for a day focused on connection, giving back, and making a lasting impact.

KidSport Manitoba is a charitable program dedicated to breaking down financial barriers so all kids can experience the benefits of organized sport. Administered by Sport Manitoba, the program provides grants to help cover registration fees for children under 18 from families who face financial challenges.
RINK is proud to contribute to the 1,868 children enabled to participate in sport by KidSport grants.

The Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Sport (CCMHS) is Canada's primary destination for mental health services and resources that are grounded in science and practical knowledge, meeting the evolving needs of the sport community. Supporting athletes, performing artists, coaches, and staff, the CCMHS focuses on helping these individuals achieve their performance goals while preserving their well-being. The CCMHS rests on three pillars of success: collaborative care; education and outreach; and research.
CCMHS’ contributions to practice, research, education, and outreach in sports is invaluable and something RINK is pleased to support.

Hockey Manitoba promotes and develops amateur hockey throughout Manitoba in affiliation with Hockey Canada, Sport Manitoba, Regional Hockey Associations, Minor Hockey Associations, and Leagues (such as the CSSHL). They also administer programs like the Program of Excellence, the high-performance program in which many RINK athletes have participated in, that offers the opportunity to represent their province while providing a solid development path to national and international competition.
