Programs

Focused primarily at our U7 Introductory age group in Pre-Season, these programs welcomes players to the game of hockey.  Players will gain an understanding of their edges on their skates, their flats, how to stop, how to control the puck, how to pass the puck. Depending on what you are looking to get out our your program, RINK's Skill to Game program is the perfect place to start featuring a tailored focus on individual skills which are common in today's game, and then the opportunity to showcase these skills in game like situations. This program consists of a specific skill focus for 25 mins. followed by a scrimmage for 25 mins. The Skills to Game program will give players the chance to use their newly acquired skills in a scrimmage scenario right in the same session. If you are looking for something more skill development focused with less game-play then Skating & Skills is your best bet. The Skating and Skills Program is designed to develop great habits through the proper techniques. This program focuses on a well-rounded approach to the skater’s skill development.

3 on 3 Hockey

3 on 3 hockey is a fast-paced, high-scoring, high-skilled variant of the traditional game of hockey. Played on our customed-sized training sheet (120ft x 60ft), it is played with three skaters and goalie per team on the ice, and forces players to think and react faster than normal game like scenarios. The smaller ice sheet and fewer players result in a wide-open, high-scoring game with lots of end-to-end action. The smaller size of the rink also puts a premium on speed, agility, and quick reflexes, as players must be able to make quick turns and transitions in order to keep up with the fast pace of the game. The game is typically divided into short shifts, with teams making frequent line changes in order to keep players fresh and maintain the intensity of the action.

Experience the fast-paced, high-scoring excitement of 3 on 3 hockey. Played on our custom-sized training sheet, this format is perfect for both players and goalies looking to enhance their skills in a dynamic environment. Available Sundays from September 7th to November 3rd for U9, U11, and U13/U15.

Frequently Asked Questions

That answer completely depends on what you are trying to get out of Pre-Season. Each offering is design with a specific type of athlete in mind. Programs offer a consistent time and day of the week across the months of September and October but are only available to U7 players at this time due to most other players being either in tryouts or starting their season. Tryout Prep Evening Camps are a meant to be the perfect pre-tryout camp to shake off the rust, get a lot of puck touches, and be ready for your tryout ideally the following week. Clinics and 1:1 Private Instruction are similar in nature as they allow you to choose a date and time that works for you with any given topic. Simply put, clinics are the most cost effective way to train at RINK especially in the pre-season because they allow you the flexibility required for your schedule at the start of the season.

Clinics are entirely done through RINK's Self Service Portal with EZ Facility. Once at self-service, select buy and choose the appropriate clinic package for your age group. After purchase, clinics will be placed into your account. Filter the calendar view to your desired product and register your athlete on your desired days.

The difference between a 1:1 and a clinic is you select what you want to work on in a 1:1 versus a clinic already has a pre-determined topic for the session. A clinic has more players in your group instead of receiving individual attention but the benefit of this is the most cost-effective way to train.

Book a Private Group

For those looking to train with friends or teammates, we offer the option to book private group sessions throughout September. This is a great way to prepare as a unit and build team chemistry before the season starts.
