RINK is thrilled to offer a diverse group of camps this summer at Gateway Recreation Centre. Players will have the option take a Skating & Skills Camp or EDGE Power Skating Camp. The Skating & Skills strikes a perfect balance between skill development with puck touches and fundamental power skating techniques. A staple at Gateway for over 10 years, the EDGE Power Skating Camp is RINK's most comprehensive skating curriculum featuring live video review on ice, figure skating session, take home video breaking down your stride, and multi-sport components all jam-packed into a fun camp environment.

Gateway Goalie Camps

Goalie specific camps have become a RINK staple for goalies heading into their tryouts and upcoming season. Camp will focus on delivering on key goaltender performance issues such as position specific movement (PSM), Puck Tracking, Rebound Control, Rush Management, Net Play, and Puck handling. These skills are built over a progressive training approach with the understanding that quality repetition is the key to performing a specific skill or tactic when it comes time to perform in a game situation.

Goalie Power Skating Camps

Ran in unison with the EDGE Power Skating Camp for Players, the Goalie Power Skating (PEPP) Camp is specifically designed for goalies to work on position-specific skating techniques with a dedicated RINK Goalie Development coach. Goalies will focus on skating and puck handling ability that challenges goalies outside of normal positional demands. PEPP stands for: Powerskating, Position-specific movement, Edgework, and Puck-handling. Goalies will work on c-cuts, T-pushes, shuffles, balance & edges and many more skating techniques over the course of the week while also getting reps in net during drill portions of the player camp.
